Mrs. Houle, located in Brampton, Ontario, was having humidity issues in her dirt crawl space and she needed a replacement for her old sump pump. Like most people, she went searching the internet for someone that could help her out. In this search, she came across our website and contacted us through our webchat. We quickly scheduled a specialist to come by for a free quote & inspection. Our skilled specialist George travelled to Mrs. Houle’s home and inspected the dirt crawl space. He determined that the best plan would be to fully encapsulate the crawl space using CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier and drainage matting, as well as other products like SilverGlo insulation, a SmartSump crawl space sump pump system, an IceGuard® sump pump discharge system, and EZ-Flow piping system. Mrs. Houle accepted George’s proposition and we scheduled a date for the installation.
Our foreman Colin and his team arrived at the home to complete the installation. First, they dug a small trench in the ground and inside they laid the EZ-Flow piping system. Next, they dug a pit to install the SmartSump crawl space sump pump system. On the walls, they added SilverGlo insulation to keep the home warm. Then, they laid the CleanSpace drainage matting over the entirety of the dirt crawl space floor. On top, they added a layer of CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier, ensuring there would be no moisture seeping through from the dirt crawl space floor. Finally, they added an IceGuard® sump pump discharge line system on the outside of the home, ensuring that the discharge line would not freeze, and water could safely exit, no matter the weather. Thanks to our hardworking team at Basement Systems Toronto, our client Mrs. Houle can finally enjoy her home without worrying about her humid crawl space.
