Our client Mr. Esposito was having issues with his Mississauga home. There was humidity in the northwest corner of his house and some water infiltration in the spring, he suspected it had something to do with his uninsulated crawl space. While searching the internet for a solution, he came across our website and filled out our form. We promptly gave him a call and offered him a free inspection and quote. Upon inspecting the problematic areas in the home, our specialist Thanusyan decided the best plan would be to encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier and CleanSpace® Crawl Space Drainage Matting System in order to keep out the humidity and water infiltration. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier reduces moisture, seals out winter drafts, and is versatile for walls and floors. With a durable 20mil thickness, 7-layer polyethylene composition, and polyester cord reinforcement, it works for both basement and crawl space walls. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Drainage Matting comprises a dimpled drainage matting system strategically crafted to gather water from the crawl space floor and guide it towards a sump pump and the surrounding perimeter drainage pipe. Mr. Esposito agreed with this proposition, and we booked a time to complete the installation. Our foreman Colin then went to Mississauga at the scheduled time and installed all agreed components. His crawl space fully waterproofed, Mr. Esposito no longer has to worry about humidity coming from his crawl space or water infiltration. Another job well done by our Basement Systems Toronto team.
In the damp, unpredictable wilderness of Bala, ON, crawl spaces have a mind of their own. Our recent project began with exactly that—a muddle of excess moisture and mustiness lurking in a homeowner’s crawl space. Armed with CleanSpace and a team of diligent pros, we waved our magic wands (read: tools). Toss in a bit of Drainage Matting, some SilverGlo sparkle, a dash of TerraBlock, and voilà! We transformed the space from soggy-bottom blues to an air-tight, cozy refuge beneath the home. The air’s fresher, the space is drier, and everyone's a tiny bit happier.

Mrs. Kochanowska, a homeowner located in Barrie, Ontario, was worried about her home’s foundation. The floors in her kitchen seemed to be sinking. She took to the internet to look for a solution. After carefully looking at her options, she came across our website and decided to fill out our contact request form. We promptly called her and scheduled a free inspection at her home. Our specialist Jason headed over to Barrie at the scheduled time and conducted a thorough inspection of the sinking floor and the crawl space underneath. He proposed that we come by and install 5 SmartJack systems in the crawl space in order to stabilize the floor above and keep it from sinking any more. Mrs. Kochanowska accepted Jason’s proposal, and we scheduled a date for the installation. Foreman Colin and his team arrived on site on the installation date and got to work. They first dug into the cement slab in the areas where SmartJacks would be installed. They then installed the SmartJacks inside and put cement on top to seal them in. Mrs. Kochanowska can now rest assured, knowing that her floor is safe underneath her. Another great job by Basement Systems Toronto!
A cottage owner in Barrie, Ontario, was concerned about high humidity levels in their crawl space and wanted to fix the problem before it gets worse and provoke additional damages. During our inspection, our specialist noticed signs of moisture, including efflorescence on the walls, which is a white, powdery residue that indicates water has been seeping through the concrete.
To solve the issue, we put in place the CleanSpace encapsulation system. This system includes a drainage matting that directs water to a proper discharge point, along with a durable vapor barrier that keeps ground moisture from entering the crawl space. Together, these components help keep humidity under control, block water from getting in, and stop moisture from rising out of the soil.
The crawl space is now clean, dry, and fully protected. The home is "immune" against structural damage, mold, and poor air quality, thus helping ensure its health and stability for years to come.
