Crawl Space Drain & Encapsulation System Installed in Nobleton, Ontario
Challenge
We recently took on a complex crawl space encapsulation project in Nobleton, ON. The homeowner reached out with concerns about their crawl space, which presented unique challenges. It consisted of two distinct sections: a narrow 18-foot by 3-foot area with a height ranging from 2 to 3 feet, and a larger 16-foot by 16-foot space. The homeowner needed a solution that would not only address moisture and pests but also improve the overall air quality in their home.
Solution
After a thorough inspection by one of our experienced System Design Specialists, we recommended the CleanSpace system, a durable encapsulation system designed to keep crawl spaces dry and functional. To further protect against plumbing leaks or water infiltration, we also installed the SmartDrain™ system. The SmartDrain™ sits in a drywell filled with clean drainage stone, preventing clogs and featuring a ball-and-cup drain that automatically opens when water enters and seals once dry. The system also includes a WaterWatch® Alarm, alerting the homeowner in the event of a leak.
Our production team worked diligently to encapsulate both sections of the crawl space, despite the tight and varying heights, ensuring that every detail was carefully addressed. The result? A fully transformed crawl space that is now protected from moisture, mold, and pests, and contributes to a healthier home environment.
